The Popular Automobile work shop’ established in 1956, it was reconstituted in the year 1995 as a Partnership Firm – P S C Bose Automobiles. The founder Late Parvataneni Subhas Chandra Bose (Popularly known as Mechanic Bose) started his career as a ‘Mechanic’ at a tender age.
Late Parvataneni Subhas Chandra Bose showed courage and confidence by taking a lead in shifting his ‘Popular Automobile Work Shop’ alone to Jawahar Autonagar, when others felt the place was away from the City. (Prior to establishment of Jawahar Autonagar, the Automobile workshops in Vijayawada were scattered in different areas in the city). The Popular Automobile work shop became very reputed work shop within a short span of time and grew steadily in different fields of Automobile industry over the years.
‘The Popular Automobile Work Shop’ – At present known as P S C Bose Automobiles, in addition to vehicles maintenance and repairs since inception, owned and operated oil tankers along with heavy motor vehicles for transportation of bulk goods. Earlier Tourist and city bus service were operated in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam in strict compliance of rules to the admiration of the public and officials, till bus routes were nationalized.
P S C Bose Automobiles started its full scale operations with consistent increase of fleet strength to the present level of 71 vehicles (bulk carriages, tractor trailers and multi axle trucks) could extend its operations all over India. Since, it renders assured services with systematic operations all over India, it has huge clientele base. Fleet operations are being increased continuously in line with the market demand. P S C Bose Automobiles has plans to operate vehicles across India to meet the transportation demands of its clientele.
P S C Bose Automobiles is situated in 3000 sq. yard premises, consisting of administrative buildings with G + 2 Floors, stores and the workshop. The workshop is fully equipped with the State of the art machinery manned by trained and experienced workforce (about 150 employees) to provide immediate and prompt services, ensure excellent upkeep of fleet and avoid en-route disturbances. The workshop has a capacity to undertake maintenance and repair work of 25-40 vehicles simultaneously in a day and can organise to build 10 vehicles (body building) at any given point of time. This unit with ultra modern equipment helps in maintenance of the entire Navata Road Transport fleet (400 vehicles) including body building requirements, besides the maintenance of all other sister concerns vehicles. The Managing Partner monitors the activities of PSC Bose Automobiles. He is a part of the advisory committee of government Polytechnic and ITI. The work shop also imparts training for Diploma Holders (Auto Mobiles) & ITI in all automobile related trades.
