Late Parvataneni Subhas Chandra Bose (Mechanic Bose) was born in Velpuru village in Krishna District on 10th May’ 1933. He was the eldest son of smt. Lakshmikantamma and Sri Rajaiah, a school teacher. Being the eldest son, he had shared the responsibility of the family in his early years of adolescence itself, he moved to Vijayawada and supported his family by learning Mechanism. He started acquiring skills in Automobile Mechanism, a profession that could make him earn with respect. His courage and determination to learn, coupled with hard work made him a true ‘Mechanic’ and his integrity and honesty put him on to an ever progressive path. In the year 1956, he started his garage on the pillars of his own labour and soon became a force multiplier in automobile field in Vijayawada. Ultimately he earned the most honorable place in the hearts of Automobile workers of Autonagar, who conferred him, the degree ‘Mechanic Bose’.
He was popular for treating workers with a philosophy 'nobody works for me, every body works with me'.
Late Parvataneni Subhas Chandra Bose was unanimously elected as the President of ‘The Automobile Technicians Association’ of Autonagar in Vijayawada, Which was Asia’s biggest. From 1981 – till his last breathe in 1995, eleven unions in different wings / professions directly connected to Automobiles affiliated themselves to ‘The Automobile Technicians Association’ headed by our ‘founder’. During his tenure many infrastructure facilities were provided to the Autonagar. The Automobile Technicians Association Building was constructed during his tenure as a President.
A huge painting with the symbol of “Hand with closed fist “(depicting different trades / unions connected to automobiles and affiliated to Automobile technicians Association) installed in the association Hall, which is a pleasant scene with a lively message of “Unity and strength”. The Autonagar main road is named after late Parvataneni Subhas Chandra Bose by the City Corporation as a tribute for his excellent services to the Autonagar.
Under the dynamic leadership of founder Late Parvataneni Subhas Chandra Bose, supported by his illustrious brothers Sri P. Sukhadev, Sri P.V.Koteswararao, and their sons, the entire family under one umbrella is associated with the Automobile field and started many organizations with a humble beginning. These institutions are running most successfully with consistent growth and on high ethical values.
